Scientific-Research Works

The effective organization of scientific-research works has been taken into account from the foundation of Baku Business University.

Scientific-research works are planned by the Rector in accordance with the main aspects of economy and our Republic and are held according to the programs created by the professor-teaching staff for the chairs and academic year.

The scientific-research works are held on such problems as “Social-economic and legal problems of business in Azerbaijan”, “Problems of social-economic development of the independent Azerbaijan Republic”, “Finance-credit, price forming and statistics problems in new economic reforming period”, “The organization of production, management, audit, accounting and economic analysis in new economic system”, “The social and philosophic bases and theoretical problems of business”, “The investigation of legal regulation of economy”, “The use of mathematical ways in organizing, managing and optimizing the development of economy”, “The problems of applying intensive methods in language teaching for highly-qualified specialists in the transition period to a new economic system” and some other actual problems and themes at the University.

Annual theoretical-practical conferences dedicated to the results of scientific- research works are traditionally held at the University and the achievements are estimated. The following conferences have been held:

• “ The social-economic problems and realities of the Azerbaijan Republic in the condition of globalization” devoting to the 86th anniversary of the national leader Haydar Aliyev’s birth”. May, 2009

The representatives of Economy Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan State Economy University, Economic Reform Center attached to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Azerbaijan Republic, state and private higher schools attached to the Ministry of Agriculture and some other organizations together with the collective of Baku Business University took part in these conferences.

The results of scientific-research works have been published in monographs, books, textbooks and University appliances, in the articles of the journals, theses, at the pages of newspapers and other published materials.

For the last 5 years materials in the volume of more than 1700 printed papers have been published in the publishing center of the University. 37 monographs, 62 textbooks and University supplies, 295 journal articles have been published there, too.

Some points of scientific-research works have been carried out on the basis of economic account. The group of the University also carried out some work about the training program “The development of small and middle business (free enterprise) in the Azerbaijan regions on the project of the development of education of the USA Academy” and its collaborates have taken an active part in the process of formation of national businessmen.

The professor-teaching staff of the University constantly participate with the articles on the actual practical problems connected with the development of science and economy of the Republic at the pages of the journal “Audit”.

Carrying out scientific-research works at the University plays a great role in training highly-qualified specialists. The progress from this point of view is in the focus of attention.

Conference Hall

Conference hall contains 300 people and is aimed to hold scientific symposiums, conferences, etc. It has been supplied with high-standard equipments meeting modern requirements.

Conferences concerning to the problems of economic development of the Republic are regularly held at Baku Business University. Well-known scientists of our Republic often participate at these conferences.

“Audit”

The University has its own periodical journal named Audit. This journal is published once a quarter in the volume of 6 or 7 printed pages. It has been published since 1999. The leading scientists of economy of our Republic write on different subjects for this scientific journal. Besides, actual problems on science and economic development of our Republic are regularly elucidated in this journal by professor-teaching staff of Baku Business University.

Carrying out scientific-research works at the University has gained a great importance in training highly-qualified specialists.
