International Relations

Baku Business University established close business relations with many leading scientific and educational centers of the world during a short time of its functioning. The department of International Relations of Baku Business University began its activity in April, 2004. The main purpose of the department is to form international links of Baku Business University with other foreign organizations and increase its international prestige. Besides, real steps have been taken in the fields of creating new cooperation forms, preparing projects devoted to urgent problems, organizing various international conferences, symposiums, seminars, meetings and other cultural meetings, and these activities are considered to be improved and developed in future.

The administration of Baku Business University often holds meetings with professor-teaching staff of the developed higher schools of the foreign countries. The professors of Moscow Entrepreneurship Academy, England Edinburgh University, Turkish University named after S. Damiral made speeches in scientific-practical conferences which were held at Baku Business University. The professors of Baku Business University made reports in the international conferences held in popular Universities of the world. Presentation meetings were often held with the companies of the US, England, Germany and Turkey. The delegates of international organizations, famous scientists and businessmen often take part at the University meetings. The famous professors from the US, England, and Russian Federation made speeches and reports dealing with different spheres of economy.

The department of International Relations cooperates with the foreign embassies and representations functioning in Azerbaijan, with the purpose of making close relations with the famous Universities in the field of getting education abroad. With this purpose treaties on cooperation with the famous Universities of the US, France, Russia, Greece, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Georgia and others have been signed, some of them are pending conclusion. According to the adopted agreement about cooperation with higher-educational institutions (academy, university, institution, scientific-research institutions, centers, forums and etc.) the exchange of Bachelor and Master Students, post-graduates, teachers, also preparing bilateral and multilateral treaties, agreements and memorandums are carried out. Enlarging its activity the department of International Relations built bilateral relations with Japan, Great Britain, the US, Germany, France, with a series of foreign organizations including Open Society Institute, Resource Centre of the UNO, UNESCO, UNISEF, World Bank, Technical Cooperation Organization of Germany, BP, Chevron, EXXON-Mobil, ITOCHU, Devon, JAOC, Citizens Democracy, Unocal-Khazar Ltd, IREX, UNO Development Program, ACCELS, DAAD, OXFAM, NDI, ISAR, ULI, UHIA, IFES, CRDF, CRRC, with the funds of American Peace Corps, Statoil Absheron, British Consulate, CDC, and Eurasia, Macarthur SOROS, Bill and Melinda Gates, Rockefeller.

The University established links with avant-garde foreign schools on economic and business profiles. At present Baku Business University cooperates with Saint Petersburg Financial University, Moscow Entrepreneurship Academy, Khazan Financial University, and Suleiman Damiral University in Sparta, Turkey.

Cooperation with World Bank, the UNO, OSCE, European Council and the companies of Japan, the US, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Germany, France, Russia, Italy, Israel, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, the Ukraine, Girgizistan, China, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Pakistan, Lebanon, Bulgaria, Saudi-Arabia, Poland and Rumania has been established, within the boundaries of bilateral relations about 100 public and economic fictions, magazines, booklets have been presented to the University. Widening its activity, the department of International Relations took part in grant competitions announced by international organizations.

At present the University carries active work to build cooperation with different Universities of Europe and the US and the embassies of the US, Great Britain and Japan. At the same time the University takes an active part in cooperation with local and international humanitarian organizations, such as CDC, Youth Development Organization and others. The professor-teaching staff and the students who have got MD are sent to India, Germany, the US and France to get education and practice there.

SABINA ELKHAN GIZI POLADOVA

Sabina Elkhan gizi Poladova was born in 1974. In 1981 she went to school number 249 in Khatai region in Baku and finished it in 1991 with excellent marks.

In the same year she entered the faculty of English-French of the Azerbaijan University of Foreign Languages. In 1996 she graduated the same university with honors diploma and was kept in the chair of “The phonology of English” for being engaged with the scientific creative work by decision of the scientific council.

Sabina Elkhan gizi Poladova entered the post graduate course of Azerbaijan University of Languages and in 2004 defending the dissertational work on the specialty of “German languages” she was honored with the name of candidate of sciences.

In 2003-2004 she has worked as the head of the chair of “Languages”. Since 2008 she works as the head of the section of “International relations”.

She is the author 14 scientific works and 2 books. At present she works on doctoral thesis.
